‘Ashgal’ of Public Works Authority has created 2 more World Records certified by Guiness World Records.
First Record :
- Asghal has created a route achieving the world’s longest continuous cycle path measuring 32.089 km (20.4 miles) long and 7 metres (22.9 ft) wide.
Second Record :
- Asghal broke another world record for the longest piece of asphalt concrete laid continuously without joints measuring 25.275 km (15.7 miles) along Al Khor road.
The Olympic cycling track was part of Ashghal’s plant to create a network of cycling paths. Along the path are 29 under passes and 5 bridges. Cyclists can now enjoy non-stop riding . Along the way are 80 bicycle stands, 100 benches and 20 rest areas.
