Highest suspended Presidential suite in the world. High up in the air at over 200 meters.

Housed in a sky bridge joining two towers. It is positioned between the National Towers’ 48th and 49th floor.

UAE’s Health Minister Takes Country’s First Dose of Covid-19 Vaccine : September 20, 2020

Abdul Rahman Al Owais, UAE’s Health Minister was given the First dose of the coronavirus vaccine designed to protect the public from coronavirus.

The vaccine was developed by the Chinese drugmaker Sinopharm.

Sinopharm conducted phase 1 and phase 2 of the trials in China and experiments of Phase 3, were conducted under the supervision of the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and the UAE’s health ministry.

The 3rd stage was conducted in Abu Dhabi and later in Bahrain and Jordan.

Mohamed Bourouissa. Artist. Activist

He was awarded the USD 38,000 ‘Deutsche Borse Photography Foundation Prize 2020’ for his ‘Free Trade’ installation.

It was first exhibited across an entire floor at a Monoprix Supermarket in France as a part of the ‘Les Recontres d’Artes Photography Festival’ in 2019.

Bourouissa uses different mediums including photography, video, painting, text, drawing and sculpture.

His work reflects the lives of the marginalised and dispossessed.

World’s Furthest Leaning Man-Made Tower – ‘ Capital Gate ‘ Abu Dhabi (UAE) : 2011

Abu Dhabi’s Skyscraper ‘Capital Gate’ also known as the ‘Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi. The building officially opened on December 21, 2011.

Capital Gate is 160 meters (520 feet tall) , 35 stories high and with 16,000 sq. meters (170,000 sq.ft) of built area. It is also one of the tallest buildings in the Capital city.

Due to its clever engineering and architectural design, the building leans 18 degrees to the west. It is 4 times more than the Leaning Tower of Suuvhusen. Capital Gate is one of the few diagrid buildings in the world.

Guinness World Records certified as the ‘World’s Farthest Man Made Leaning Building in the World’ in 2018.

Capital Gate is designed by the Architectural firm RMJM , Scotland / United Kingdom.

The building is owned and developed by Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC).
