Team Qatar star Amal Mohammed claimed the gold medal of women’s 10m running target event at the 2021 Asian Airgun Championship in Shymkent City, Kazakhstan on Monday, 13 September 2021.
More than 150 shooters from Qatar, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Russia, India, Iran, and Turkmenistan are competing in this tournament for top honors.
The Qatari squad includes Ashya Al Suwaidi, Shahd Al Darwish and Amal Mohamed.

As part of its plans to clinch the Champions League title, PSG paid €71 million (add-ons included) to sign the versatile right-back, making him the most expensive defender in the club’s history.

The Sharjah Fencing Club (SFC) was crowned champion of the Arab Fencing Clubs Championship (AFCC).
The Clubs’s winners won 17 medals, including 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 8 Bronze in two categories, which included the General Category and the Young Category for Men an Women under the age of 20.
211 male and female players representing 12 clubs from 6 Arab countries participated in the AFCC Championship.
The club’s fencing players took first place in the foil and épée weapons, as well as second place in the sabre weapon, in the men’s category. In the foil and sabre weapons, the young division took first place, as well as third place in the épée.
The Championship was hosted by the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled in Sharjah.

UAE President’s Cup World Series for Purebred Arabian Horses in Russia.
The horse, “Saahar,” born in 2017 and owned by Edward Modrovic, won the UAE President’s Cup World Series for Purebred Arabian Horses held in Russia.
The series is continuing its impressive successes in Europe, amidst the distinguished participation of Russian owners, as well as a considerable public presence and widespread media attention.
The event was held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan , supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and monitored by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, in line with the vision and legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to promote purebred Arabian horses globally.
The race, which took place as part of the first category of races, witnessed the participation of nine purebred Arabian horses, with prizes amounting to €50,000.
Faisal Al Rahmani, General Supervisor of the President’s Cup Series for Arabian Horses, attended the event and crowned the winners.

UAE’s Abdullah Sultan Alaryani won the country’s first gold medal in the men’s 50m rifle at the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
It is the two-time world champion’s second Paralympic title; he won the gold in London in 2012 and a silver at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro. For Alaryani, it is his fifth games medal.
Sultan Alaryani’s gold came after Mohamed Al Hammadi won a bronze in the men’s 100m T34 at the Tokyo Games.
Cherine Abdellaoui of Algeria won gold in the judo women’s -52kg category after beating Priscilla Gagne of Canada at the Nippon Budokan Arena in Tokyo.
For the first time since 13 years Algeria celebrates an Olympic Champion at the Paralympics. Algeria’s Cherine Abdellaoui was absolutely delighted with her gold medal in the women’s up to 52kg, improving on her third place from Rio 2016.
Raoua Tlili of Tunisia has broken her own world record on the way to winning a gold medal in the Women’s Shot Put at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
The 31-year-old became the first Tunisian to win a gold at the competition with throw of 10.55m at the Olympic Stadium in the Japanese capital, beating the old mark by 36cm.
Tlili had previously won gold at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, with the old record, and also London 2012 and Beijing 2008
