Qatar Achieves 2 more World Records. In Cycling & Tracks : September 2020

‘Ashgal’ of Public Works Authority has created 2 more World Records certified by Guiness World Records.

First Record :

  • Asghal has created a route achieving the world’s longest continuous cycle path measuring 32.089 km (20.4 miles) long and 7 metres (22.9 ft) wide.

Second Record :

  • Asghal broke another world record for the longest piece of asphalt concrete laid continuously without joints measuring 25.275 km (15.7 miles) along Al Khor road.

The Olympic cycling track was part of Ashghal’s plant to create a network of cycling paths. Along the path are 29 under passes and 5 bridges. Cyclists can now enjoy non-stop riding . Along the way are 80 bicycle stands, 100 benches and 20 rest areas.

Lucid Air (EV) was launched from its Headquarters based in Newark, California on September 10th, 2020

Lucid Air has ground breaking electric vehicle (EV) technology incorporation Lucid Motors’s proprietary Electric Drivetrain Technology.

Aimed at the luxury saloon segment dominated by German manufacturers. Branded as the world’s fastest charging EV and the most aerodynamic car in the world.

Lucid’s Atieva battery powers the Formula E vehicles that have been showcased at Saudi Arabian motorsports events.

Powering the Air is a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup with a combined output of up to 1,080 horsepower. The motor is fed charge through a 22 module, 5kWh battery pack with a total combined capacity of 113kWh

Saudi Arabia is the biggest country in the world without a permanent river.

It has a land area of 830,000 sq.miles (2,149,690 sq.km) of which 95% is desert.

Many parts of the country have not received any rainfall for years. All the Water collected is stored in underground acquifers.

Even though Saudi Arabia does not have any permanent rivers, it has several wadis. Wadis are intermittently or permanent dry river beds.
